After
moving up here from Virginia, I was amazed at how much raw talent found
it's home in northern New England. While I am lucky to be able to
work with any number of accomplished musicians, The Goodes is most consistently comprised of Ed Eastridge on
guitar and vocals and Bobby Gagnier and Brian Kennell on drums and bass respectively.
Ed grew up in Edgewater
Maryland where he worked through the 70s with various bands in nearby
Washington DC. As a grammy award winning recording engineer and producer, Mr. Eastridge has
worked for hundreds of the world's premiere artists including Sheryl
Crowe, Emmylou Harris, Wynton Marsalis, Diana Krall, Richard Thompson,
Vince Gill, Linda Ronstadt and many others. Ed teaches guitar, performs as an accompanist to many area
musicians and as a guitar soloist specializing in Brazilian, Blues, Jazz
and Classical styles. He is currently working on a collection of guitar
music entitled "Music From the House With Four Chimneys" which features the
music of Erik Satie. I'm happy to have
played a chromatic harmonica piece, Peccadilles Importunes No. 1, with him on his
Satie album. Visit Ed's website at Bigmo.com to find out more.
Bobby and Brian are homegrown "New England Originals" and not transplanted from
cities like most everybody else up here. Bobby is from Vermont and Brian
from New Hampshire. Both have played in this area for a very long time
and are in demand and as busy as they want to be musically.
I'm also working in a variety of musical iterations, including duo and trio work, not only with members of The Goodes, but also with Ted Mortimer (Dr. Burma; The Stone Cold Roosters and Goat Broke Loose. Find him at Drburma.com), Charlie Hilbert (Gut bucket blues guitar player at Charlie Hilbert.com) and Wally Wysk (another master guitar player). Remember ...
